still i remember the first few sentences of "Mi Ultimo Adios" by the distinguisehd doc..hmmm.

who cares, i finished memorizing and reciting the poem in my Spanish 4 class during college. the senorita maestra was kind enough and let us recite it on installment basis. yes, no matter how many times you stand and recite it for as long as you'll complete delivering the whole poem. interesting since, after every one has completed it, the maestra recite it with much gusto plus an english translation. well enough that made me understand and admire the national hero.
my admiration didn't stopped there and became a member of the knights of rizal. i was also once fortunate to be one of my schools' representative in the then annual rizal youth convention in baguio, together with other students from other universities.
i may no longer be young to admire a jose rizal as a hero, but his being a patriot and a gentlemen remains to be known, relived and never forgotten.
we still have some rizals in our midst and even more importantly, in ourselves. there remains the spirit of patriotism, responsibility and love for families, fellowmen and country.

Seriously, they are nice pics of Fort Santiago, reminds me of our grade school's educational trip, kung saan di pa nakakaalis ang bus sa iskul, ubos na ang baon! And then later in life... mga 'dating' days...maraming langgam diyan...dahil sa mga tulad natin!
